Welcome to LAUGHS

New program
L.A.U.G.H.S. For Parents With Autistic Children

This program is designed to help parents who have autistic children
understand the development of humor in autistic children as an
essential skill. The seminars are 90 minutes in length, educational and
interactive. The parents will learn that humor and laughter are
“complimentary” strategies for parents raising children with autism.
When humor and laughter are used properly and consistently it could help
them to laugh at things that happen to parents with autistic children
that aren’t very funny. Seminar topics include the following:

  • Parental Stress and Coping Mechanisms Associated With Raising a Child With Autism
  • Sharing Humor and Laughter with Autistic Children
  • Autistic Children’s Funny Bone
  • Becoming More Playful
  • L.A.U.G.H.S. for the Holidays
  • The Magic of Humor In Care Giving for Parents With Autistic Children
  • Laughter, Hope and Caring: Resources for Parents With Autistic Children
